RUST
(Sloth Slum) I look
inside myself and see my heart is black Paint
it Black: Rolling Stones
While there are many suburbs in the city, Rust is one that stands
out in particular. It’s
seen better days and lives up to its name sake.
The city pours a fair bit of money into the district but every
time, it just seems to be a waste. Fresh
paint never lasts, potholes can’t be filled fast enough and the people
seem to grow weary and old quicker. When
you move into Rust, you almost never move out.
MIRE'S
END (Charity
Pleasant)
don't
give up you still have
us don't give up we don't need
much of anything don't give up 'cause somewhere
there's a place where we belong Don’t Give
Up: Peter Gabriel
Mire’s
End was a suburb like Rust, but due to the continual efforts of the city,
the people are trying to make a difference.
Low rent housing and crime rates are high but so are the spirits of
the people. There are a lot
of people who are willing to help and a lot of people who need it.
Sub-District:
Second Chance (Hope
Paradise)
Second Chance is a church that does countless fund raisers around town and runs soup kitchens for the people of Mire’s End. They have done a great deal to try to help Rust, but their efforts in that District seem to be wasted.
LIBERATION
STREET
(Faith
Paradise) If
this world is wearing thin Shakespeare’s
Sister: Stay
Liberation Street refers to a specific street within a Suburb, but
the name became adopted by the people within that Suburb.
Liberation Street is home to the Roman Catholic Church: The Holy
Order of Redemption. The
Redemption Church, as it’s often called, is a place that binds the
Suburb together. Sub-District:
Holy Order of Redemption Church (Faith
Paradise)
Bishop
Justin presides over this church and his diocese.
The Holy Order of Redemption Church, often Redemption Church for
short, is the life blood of the community.
They work closely with the Second Chance Church and are attempting
to help places like Rust, but with little success.
Bishop
Justin has also been attempting to shut down Laugh Land for some time now
but with little success.

DOCKS (Envy Hellhole)
The docks handle a large part of the
shipping and trade for Paradise. Previously it fell under the
control of the major companies in other districts; recently those who
run the Docks have taken back management of the shipping that goes on
there. They are taking a more hands on approach to shipping
policies and procedures, and are thinking of increasing prices so they
can afford to pay better wages to their disgruntled workers. Those
same workers and supervisors are currently investigating independent alternative
options for income or fringe benefit advances in all areas of the
shipping industry.
KING'S
TOWN (
King's Town is a quaint upscale neighborhood in Paradise. It's in all the brochures as there is a mandatory high level of standards for the housing in this suburb. It is considered by most the most expensive place to live in Paradise, thus it is something of a measure of status to even live in King's Town. <Note to Fallen: Before you jump to conclusions - NEITHER KING lives in King's Town. It's just the name of the suburb).
HILLSIDE (Wrath Slum)
Hillside was nice neighborhood until recent times. The new nickname for this district is Cheapside because of all the low rent housing that went up a few years ago. A good idea gone wrong. Drugs dealers and other unsavory types have taken up many of those homes. There are still plenty of good people here and city council is always looking for more funds to return Hillside to the neighborhood that it was meant to be.
DANTE'S ROW (Hope Pleasent)
After a massive clean up this notorious district of low rent housing and infamous drug use has been cleaned up. Dante's Row is named for Milton's epic and is meant to represent the hell that people have had to endure. Now instead of hurt, a person can walk Dante's Row and seek healing. A number of homeless shelters and drug rehabilitation centers welcome anybody who needs it. <Note: The picture shown is Dante's Row before it became a Pleasant).
THE PLAYGROUND (Prudent Pleasant)
The children are the future. So the unofficial 'Playground' is a place where children can go and enjoy the outdoors and get into shape. It's important to look after the future generations and Paradise wants to fight child obesity before it becomes a problem. A real problem in many sports are where children get bullied or aren't included. At the 'Playground', supervisors are available to get kids active and make sure that sports and games are enjoyed by all.
